Description: Three Aboriginal legends gathered from tribal elders by student teachers from Kormilda College, Darwin are retold with accompanying illustrations by the students. The titles include: “Why the Emu cannot fly” - storyteller and artist, Nugget Jabangadi James; “Inganarr, the giant Serpent” - story by Bunug, artist Nathanael Maralngura; “The Bat and the Rainbow” - story by Anastasia Kelantumana, artist Suzanne Chalmers. These stories and pictures can be found in the book entitled “Djugurba”. Narrated by Juliana Allan, Wynne Nelson and Peter Gwynne.
