A Thing About Barns

This pictorial tale of Pennsylvania barns focuses primarily on the central and eastern parts of the state, and covers barns constructed from the colonial period to the beginning of the twentieth century. It attempts to group barns into types and suggests their origins in the United States as well as in Europe.
