A Special place

An absorbing, eye-opening view of Canada’s National Parks, illustrated by the activities of the parks staff - naturalists, geologists, park wardens and others who ensure that these special places remain that way. Mountain rescue, avalanche control, health services to animals, information service to visitors, restocking fishing waters - these and many other responsibilities occupy the National Parks officers. It is a view of the Canadian wilderness that encourages understanding and confidence.
