Description: Produced by the BBC for the British Open University Looks at the Euclidean axioms condensed into a diagrammatic form and asks whether they are independent. Demonstrates how distance measuring rods, triangles, and parallel lines appear from the point of view of both a presenter in a circular universe and a viewer outside the universe, and shows that in the presenter's universe all of the Euclidean axioms hold except for the parallel axiom.
