Complete Record: Subject: This Department of Defense film begins with a short history of Korea - Land and People up to the creation of the truce treaty of the DMZ. The remainder depicts the Korean War in chronological sequence from June 25, 1950, to the truce agreement on July 27, 1953. Actual combat scenes follow advances and retreats of the United Nations Forces. Some footage of the amphibious landing at Inchon is shown. All original and excellent footage of war- authentic (narration may be less so- rather a propaganda piece- pro American, anti communist). Shots: Great aerial footage of plane in flight and bombs being dropped. Much footage of soldiers on the ground with rifles and driving tanks. Begins with book with cover “38th Parallel, volume 1”, open book to find map of Korea, then overhead shots, buildings, mountains, shots blasted at night, native peoples, Capitol Building in Washington, D.C.
