This Italian art film is an essay on the theory that “the shape of the human body is determined by necessity and regulated by a principle which gives the greatest result for the least effort - the best of engineers could not invent a more perfect and economical structure. Humans could not be different from what they are because they could not be simpler”. Commentary in English.
