Description: Post-Apocalyptic narrative film by Chris Marker. After WW3 in Paris, a group of survivors use their prisoners to travel through time through dreams. One man, who has vivid dreams, is selected to travel back and later forwards through time. During his travels, he meets and develops a relationship with a woman but this is cut short by his captors. In his travels to the future, he is given the secret to humanity’s survival and is allowed to stay safely in the future world. Instead, he chooses to travel back, in hopes of meeting the woman. He is caught by his captors before he meets her and is killed for trying to escape. Shot almost entirely with still images, gathered into montages to illustrate the narrative. English voice-over with French titles.
