This B&W silent Film shows a town square, people in costume, trees tapped for maple, trees in the forest, shows process of making maple, prizes given to people at end of film including the Festival Queen cup given to Miss Miriam Bates, a Painesville high school girl, judged Queen of the 16th annual Geauga County Maple Festival for 1941.

Note: The Geauga County Maple Festival is a fair celebrating the production of maple syrup. Geauga County's festival is the oldest maple festival in the United States and one of the largest. The fair takes place in Chardon Ohio in the Chardon Courthouse Square District. Chardon is located in Northeast Ohio about 35 miles east of Cleveland. The Maple Festival was founded in 1926 in an attempt to market Ohio syrup in competition with Vermont syrup. The Geauga County News announced that Chardon was "Going to treat the general public to a good old fashioned maple sugar eat."
