When Do We Eat? (1926) Silent Short ft. the Original 'Lassie' | 16mm Film Scan

Description: "When do we eat" a silent short produced by Max Fleischer's Red Seal Pictures; featuring who I would say is the original "Lassie"! Unrelated to the later famous Lassie, she was the dog of the filmmaker Emery Bronte - but she was still quite the movie star - reportedly Lassie was making $15,000 a year! Film follows Lassie and her puppies trying to get a meal, eventually catching up with a young girl and cheering her up - and grandma goes on to help out the lot of them. References/information on Lassie: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1092681/bio/?ref_=nm_ov_bio_sm https://louisebrookssociety.blogspot.com/2022/04/actors-in-uncredited-bit-parts-in_01427997309.html *Contact Regarding Usage* Song is "Take a Little One-step", from LoC Jukebox. Re-cut and timed the song to better fit the length of the film. Corrected for contrast/exposure, edge light leak, added post-stabilization as it was a fairly wobbly print. Being a Kodak Cinegraph release, film base had a yellow tint. #SilentFilm #VintageCinema #Lassie #silentera #1920s
