Description: Vedhachalam Mudaliyar is a rich moneylender who lends money to Sundaram Pillai, who commits suicide. His son Anandan marries Mudaliar's daughter Sarasa and spends their money lavishly to take revenge. Anandan becomes wealthier and becomes the owner of another estate, which infuriates Anandan. He abuses the Goddess at her temple and chases him away.
