Description: Tour of Pixar Animation in West Richmond CA probably in the early 1990s but no earlier than 1991 (based on the hardware shown). Weather animation is shown followed by Mike asking if there is a visualization of memory address space. Memory breakdown is shown as a vertical bar on the left. Then a spectral analysis animation is shown animated followed by a software bug. Also shown is a SGI Onyx computer (and an Iris Crimson) with 9GB hard drive. A rack of storage with 78GB of 2GB hard drives. A chiller possibly with a computer inside. An X Windows terminal. An SGI Iris Indigo 3000 series CPU circuit board with the CPU on a daughter card and SRAM manufactured between 1985-1989. The tour guide says that there are 2 or 3 more rooms in the building like the one shown but that this one has the most computers. A Newport Research Corporation optical setup is shown possibly used to digitize 35mm film. This is a bad digitization if the source VHS tape. The original tape on file at the archive likely has good audio.
