Titan II Missile Test Launch Footage "Flying Frog", 1963 | 16mm Film Scan

Description: Silent reel (soundtrack added) of the Titan II N-19 "Flying Frog" May 13 1963 successful test launch, from the 1369th Photo Squadron. Launch took place at Vandenberg AFB in California. Features some awesome super-slow motion 400 FPS footage. The Titan II was perhaps most famously used in the cold war as a nuclear deterrent/retaliatory weapon, stored in 54 missile silos across the United States. Later in its life, the platform would go on to be used as a space launch vehicle for NASA, USAF, and NOAA. Film leader said this version was a work print. Inside the canister was a notecard that had the following written on it: 2.8 - 6" x 24F FAST L/O & TRK 1.8 NO TITLE NXT IS HOLE (NO TITLE) FROM DOOR 1.7 DOOR CAMERA FASTER SEQ - XLNT DRAFT BEST HOLE SEQ *Please contact Regarding Usage* Corrected for color, contrast, exposure throughout film. The wide tracking lift-off shot had a red/purple shift, with the silo shots to a lesser extent. Print had a lot of dust & debris baked into it unfortunately, film was physically quite clean.
