Description: Brothers Chidambaram and Nataraj live in a village. They hail from a family of musicians. There is a curse upon the family that they should not sing for money; if they did so, they would die. The brothers believe in that and therefore they do not sing. Natarj goes to Madras in search of a job. He stays in the bungalow of Damodharam, a friend of Chidabaram's daughter Vani. Vani falls in love with him and arranges for him to sing in a radio broadcast.
