The Uncovered Wagon (1923) - Hal Roach Silent Western Comedy | 16mm Film Scan

Description: Unfortunately the very end/last 30 seconds or so of the film are missing, which is a brief continuation of the escapades at the end. 1923 short silent comedy film produced by Hal Roach and Pathé, "The Uncovered Wagon", a parody of the feature length film "The Covered Wagon". In this spoof, watch the gang travel across the land in no wagon- but motorcars. Film is definitely a product of it's time, really it seems a little violent for then! Famously, clips of this film were feature in Iron Maiden's 1982 "Run to the Hills" music video. Start of the film was a bit warped. Played back at 16 FPS as that was the standard for silent 16mm films. Print didn't have the best contrast, improved as I could. *Contact regarding usage* Soundtrack added; period songs from LoC: Crinoline Days - Irving Berlin & Columbians Dance Orchestra De Luxe March of the Mannikins - Benson Orchestra of Chicago Oogie Oogie Wa Wa - Benson Orchestra of Chicago Tee-pee Blues - Benson Orchestra of Chicago Indian Summer - Arthur Pryor's Band #UncoveredWagon #SilentComedy #WesternSpoof #HalRoach #1923Film #Slapstick #Parody #16mmFilm #ArchivalCinema #RetroComedy #EarlyCinema #ClassicFilmShort #Pathé #pathe #silentfilm #1920s
