Description: In this amateur silent film, head on up to New Jersey and join the spectators in the first annual Tour of Somerville Bike Race of 1940, see victor Furman and Fred "Pop" Kruger in live action! Also has some fun before the real race begins, with the Mayor partaking in a short half-mile race (and winning!). Being an amateur produced film, the quality on many shots are quite poor and seemed to have been from at least a third generation copy. I did what I could to improve the contrast/exposure on every scene, however some just didn't have enough information left to properly correct.
