The Eternal Hope

Duration: 8 reels

Genre: Religious Features

Format: 16mm

Sound: Silent

Description: A mighty blast against atheism. Part 1—4 reels. The story commences with God's command to Abraham and epitomizes his obedience to this command, and the burial of Sarah at Machpelah, and his hope that Sarah shall live again. Then takes up the promises of Jesus, which answers the question of "If a man die shall he live again?" From there it takes up the story of Dr. Boyd and his wife, Claire, who are on their way to Palestine for war work. During the journey their child was drowned and in Palestine Dr. Boyd was killed. Claire then asks the age-old question,—"If a man dies shall he live again?" Part 2—4 reels. In this part Claire receives a vision which shows Abraham and Sarah alive and working in Palestine. It also shows the Biblical prophesies of man conquering death. This is a strong allegorical presentation of "life beyond the tomb" and leaves the audience more convinced than ever that The Eternal Hope is more than a hope,—it is a reality. This picture can be booked in two parts, either to be run the same night or two different nights.
