Description: Depicts installations in the radiology departments of the City of Hope Medical Center and the U.C.L.A. Medical Center. Shows radiology equipment in operation at the City of Hope Medical Center, including a stationary cobalt source, the new cesium ring, and the total body irradiation chamber. Pictures the new total body counter facility at the U.C.L.A. Medical Center, and explains that one of the aims in this field of atomic medicine is to develop new diagnostic procedures requiring smaller amounts of radioactive tracer materials.
