Description: Artist/author Taro Yashima returns to his native village in Japan. With the help of a grade school photograph, he tries to meet his former classmates and teachers. The viewer gets acquainted with farmers, a banker, a hotel owner and a carpenter. Classmates and teachers give the artist a welcome party as a climax to these memorable and happy meetings. An unusual insight into the Japanese character, music and simple mode of living in a village.
