Stunt Fliers of the 1937 St. Louis Air Races | 16mm Film Scan

Description: Witness the 1930s daredevils of the air, in this 1937 silent home movie. Takes place at the Lambert-St. Louis Airport, "Saint Louis Air Races International Aerobatic Competition", which was from May 29-31. Starts off with views of the grounds/airport, where a Texaco "Robertson Service" and US Naval Reserve Aviation Base hangars can be seen. At 1:53 you can see a man selling the brochure/program for the races. The remainder of the film are various biplanes and monoplanes, stunt flying, takeoffs and parachutists.
