Description: Actress Trenna Plaice rejects Sturdevant's proposal to marry her, saying she has a movie offer and marriage proposal from Len Hayworth. The police suspect her because she previously owned a pistol of the same type used in the murder, although she claims to no longer have it. The killer is revealed to be Reed Ryan, a collector of Hollywood memorabilia, who had previously purchased the stolen gun and used it to divert suspicion.
