Description: Description: Outtakes and trims from an unidentified production of historic significance documenting urban renewal in San Antonio, Texas. In this production, staged sequences using actors in roles relating to urban planning are interwoven with documentary sequences showing the people and landscapes impacted by redevelopment. This reel shows distressed, condemned and empty buildings in poor and Latin neighborhoods, and actors playing roles relating to jobs in urban planning and redevelopment including drafting and the work in a city recorder's office. Other scenes in this reel document a city council at work, and promote San Antonio as a place to live and work where new buildings, new commercial spaces, and new city parks enhance the landscape.
