Discusses the single tuned RF amplifiers using capacitive and transformer coupling. Explains circuit operation with respect to a parallel resonant tank in the plate circuit of the capacitance coupled amplifier. Explains circuit operation with respect to a series resonant tank in the grid circuit of the transformer coupled amplifier's second stage. Plots a typical response curve of an amplifier, and requires the students to determine the bandwidth.
