Proudest Americans

The Seminole Indians of the Florida Everglades are Americans but they owe no allegiance to any nation's flag, and are the only race of western hemisphere aboriginals who have never been conquered. The U. S. Government in 1913 presented them with 13,000 acres of Everglades land. Peaceful and picturesque, somewhat of Aztec character, this picture shows the Seminoles exactly as they now live in their own native domain. See also SILENT ENEMY, Col. 77.
