Restricted: For research use.; Sound by Steve Reich.; A snippet of the Steve Reich sound collage begins over opening images (unlike in the original 1963 version); then the film goes silent as R.G. Davis, founder of the San Francisco Mime Troupe, has absurd interactions with various geometric objects on a highly stylized constructivist set. At 209 ft. the film goes to black for about 5 ft., during which Steve Reich's sound collage, which cuts up a boxing announcer's exaltations, is heard mixed with audio from an improvised mock interview with the director (Robert Nelson, playing the role of a filmmaker from India). After the black, the images from the beginning of the film repeat in their entirety as the Reich/interview audio mix continues. Film ends with credits (as in the original version).; PFA 1604-01-12544.
