Never a Backward Step

Profile of a Canadian press tycoon whose single-minded attention to business brought him riches, power, and a baronetcy in England. The late Lord Thomson related much of the story himself as the cameras followed him about his amazing business. Publisher, television magnate, financier, owner of many newspapers, including leading London dailies, this native of Timmins, Ontario, had a remarkable career. The film is a frank study of an equally frank man.

Directed by Donald Brittain, Arthur Hammond and John Spotton - 1966 | 57 min
