Story of the building of the second longest bridge in the world, across San Francisco Bay. Shows the physical difficulties and hazards encountered by a steel erector high in the air. Special construction features such as the use of light-weight aluminum falsework trusses are dealt with, and the three basic types of bridge construction — girder span, truss span and cantilever span are shown.
