Description: The Avanti king (Lingamurthy) refuses to give his daughter Vidyadhari in marriage to his minister Hariharamathyudu’s (K.V.S. Sarma) son. The villainous minister brings the illiterate sheppard Kaludu (ANR) off as a great scholar. After the marriage she faints and learns she has been cheated. Fearing for her life she prays and Goddess Kali appears before him and grants a boon that he will acquire new knowledge.
