Description: Mahadevi (Savithri) is a princess whose father, the king, is defeated in battle. She is invited by the rival king to stay with him as his honoured guest. Her senior commander, Karunakaran (P. S. Veerappa) is attracted to her. He hatches various evil plans to get her, but she earns his wrath. She falls in love with the other commander, Vallavan (MGR) and they marry in due course.
