Then in Oakland, California we board a diesel train, the California Zephyr, headed for Colorado. We pass through Feather River Canyon, Quincey, California and the no. 8 short line, deserts in Nevada and Utah, the Great Salt Lake, Salt Lake City and then disembark in Durango, Colorado.
