Ein Ehepaar mit seiner Tochter besuchte Mitte der 30er Jahre mit der MS Milwaukee die im Atlantik gelegene portugiesische Insel Madeira und hielten den Besuch im Film fest. Nur sehr wohlhabende Familien konnten sich damals eine 16mm Filmausrüstung leisten. Die Nationalität der Familie schien unbekannt, bis das Filmende das Geheimnis verriet. Sie kehren ins winterlich verschneite Deutschland zurück in einem Luxuswagen der Marke Horch 8 Typ 350 mit einem Autokennzeichen der damaligen Rheinprovinz Düsseldorf. Am Auto befindet sich ein Wimpel der SA :( In the mid-1930s, a married couple and their daughter visited the Portuguese island of Madeira in the Atlantic Ocean on board the MS Milwaukee and recorded their visit on film. Only very wealthy families could afford 16mm film equipment at that time. The family's nationality seemed unknown until the end of the film revealed the secret. They return to a wintry, snow-covered Germany in a luxury Horch 8 Type 350 with a license plate from the former Rhine Province of Düsseldorf.
