Description: Etoile, a zookeeper in Paris, kills a man and kills prostitutes in a brothel. Professor Paul deduces that it was a wolf, but is skeptical about the gentleness of the wolves in the zoo. The city prefect decides to make Paul’s wolf theory official, and orders all zoos to kill their wolves. The attacks draw the interest of Professor Paul, a skilled forensic surgeon, who initially deduces the attacker will kill the next night. Paul discovers one of the victims is still alive, and revives her long enough to hear her speak of creature neither a man nor a wolf
