Description: This fascinating black-and-white, silent film is presented by Cine-Kodagraph, an early educational film company created by the Eastman Kodak Company in the early 1920s. The company also produced a movie projector with that name specifically for educational use. It projected 16mm motion picture films, a format introduced by Kodak as a safer, more affordable alternative to the highly flammable 35mm nitrate film commonly used in commercial cinemas. This film showcases scenes from Nairobi and Mombasa in the late 1920s, when Kenya was a British colony under the East African Protectorate. It also includes extensive footage from the visit of Their Royal Highnesses the Prince of Wales and his younger brother the Duke of Gloucester to Mombasa and Nairobi in 1928, during their colonial tour. .
