Description: Kavitha is the daughter of a rich man, Sabapathy Mudaliar. She loves Durai, an artist, and wants to marry his sister's son, Rajasekaran. But soon she finds that he drinks too much and beats her if she refuses. In the meantime, another woman, Ponnamma, who is a look alike of Kavita enters the family. She consoles Kavitsa and tries to advise her husband but he sends her to a mental hospital.
