Jackie Cooper PSA about Sean Flynn - Errol Flynn's missing son in Cambodia

Genre: public service announcement

Description: Sean Flynn (son of Errol Flynn) was a photojournalist who disappeared in Cambodia in 1970. He was last seen and photographed before he and another person went to photograph a Viet Cong checkpoint up the road. He has declared legally dead in 1984. [Jackie Cooper Voiceover] Hello. I'm Jackie Cooper and I'd like to tell you the story of a young man's life. Sean Flynn, son of movie star Errol Flynn found his place in life as a dedicated photo journalist armed with only his cameras and atop his motorcycle, Sean Flynn, took off into the jungles of Cambodia to bring the news of the war to the world. That was April 6, 1970 and Sean hasn't been accounted for since. Photographing the trouble spots of the world, he learned to survive many difficult situations, yet his captors refuse to acknowledge him, and recent reports are that Sean may still be alive. In addition to Sean and 21 other news men, there are over a thousand Americans still prisoners of war or missing in action in Southeast Asia. Your support will help bring about an accounting of these men. I ask you - Whatever happened to Sean Flynn. If you don't help, who will contact VIVA - Post Office box 5460 Grand Central Station, New York 10017." I've been sitting on this PSA for about a year - I couldn't tell you why. Probably because I wanted to do a good writeup on it.
