Description: Another home movie of aircraft in Alaska dating to ~1953/1954. Starts off in the winter at Fairbanks International Airport, showing a variety of military planes including the F-89 Scorpion, F-86 Sabre and Sikorsky F-51. Has footage inside the airport/terminal as well. Then later in the year, there is footage of a Pan American Airways McDonnell Douglas DC-6 "Clipper Midnight Sun" passenger plane boarding and taking off. Also, additional footage of small town gold rush Alaska in the winter at the end. The film mfg. date is 1951, but it seems like DC-6 N6113C wasn't delivered to PAA until 1953. I believe it's likely the footage of it dates to spring of 1954.
