Havana

Year Published: 1930?

Creator: Kodak Cinegraph

Description: I was unable to determine an eact date this was originally shot/released, but from what I did come across circa 1930 is my best estimate. Released as a 100ft Kodak Cinegraph home release, the footage was shot by a photographer (Maurice Kellermann) of the Cunard Steam Ship company. I'm sure they provided it because it would work out to be a free advertisement, as they offered travel to Havana!

Print was not the best fidelity, was softer/grainier than most and had some wobble/jitter to it. Had very inconsistent exposure and uneven print lighting as well; Tried to improve where I could.

Soundtrack Added:
Salvador - Francisco Moure, International Novelty Orchestra
Abandonado - Guillermo Posadas, International Novelty Orchestra
(I would have liked to have use proper Cuban music, but the recordings available from the Library of Congress were all too low fidelity)
