Although Brian is ambitious, Genie is content with their simple lives. She hopes that Brian will marry her, but does not tell him that she is pregnant. Brian's first novel is panned, and he leaves Genie to spend a weekend with another woman. When he returns, he discovers that Genie was persuaded to have an abortion, and that she has died as a result of the operation. Much of the films was shot on location in Greenwich Village"--Audio Brandon catalog, vol. 1, 1976- 77.; PFA 1616-01-7113. D0007; PFA 1616-01-7113.
