GEPOD 30: G.E.'s Gun Pod Gatling Cannon (1980) | 16mm Film Scan

Description: GEPOD 30 "Nellis Test" Film. Date is presumed 1980 due to the 1979 dates mentioned. The GEPOD 30 was a rotary gatling type cannon gunpod system that fired the 30mm GAU-8 rounds; it went on to become known as the GAU-13/A. Following aircraft are shown/mentioned: F-4 Phantom, F-5 Tiger 2, A-7 Corsair 2, A-10 Thunderbolt 2, F-16, F-18 Hornet. I do not know what or who this film was produced for, I suppose it was just something G.E. made to show to potential military customers? Print quality was pretty poor, I did what I could to improve it. Color had a blue-shift and contrast was lost in places. Certain scenes were also extremely grainy, did what I could to help reduce it for Youtube. Film had a lot of pitting & scratching as well.
