Description: Silent home movie (soundtrack added) of a trip to California's Santa Catalina Island, beginning at the port of Los Angeles, then passing by oil refineries on the way out to the island, including ones from Shell and Standard Oil. Film has some nice wildlife shots of birds throughout, and then sea lions at the end. Hopkins of new deal fame; hypothesized that it would've been on a trip visiting his brother John who lived in Southern California in the 1920s.
