Description: Dean Martin's "Maury" Novak is brought down by the blacklist. Sam Lawson and Maury Novak worked together in an early grassroots theatrical group later targeted as "subversive" for its liberal views. Novak leaves the theater to become a well known Hollywood director. Lawson is forced to take work as a waiter as Novak returns to start fresh with a new theater.
