Description: Ravana decides to invade Amaravati, the capital of the heavenly kingdom of Indra. Ravana's strength comes from worship performed by Kaikasi, his mother. Lord Vishnu manipulates Ravana to grant his wish for Goddess Parvathi. As Ravana returns home, he marries Mandodari, the young princess of Pathala. Eventually, Ravana realizes what happened and appeals to Lord Siva for forgiveness.
