In connection with my meeting today with the secretary of state of the United States of America, Mr. Dulles, I have to say that in my opinion, the conversation was fruitful and that we have to continue these conversations tomorrow. Prime Minister, did you emphasize to Secretary Dulles, the gravity with which the Yugoslavs view the situation in Trieste? Of course, I emphasized the gravity of the situation because the situation is really, really grave. But I am firmly hoping that with our common effort, we can improve the situation. Mr. Foreign Minister. Do you think that situation can be improved so that there'll be no armed might used in the solution? I will hope that it is possible. [Speaking in French] [Speaking in French] We should pursue all the methods open to us to reduce international attention from a full blown meeting at the highest level to negotiation of even the smallest issue. Now we must do so with patience, and perseverance, and we shouldn't abuse our allies if they don't happen to agree with our views.
