Description: Intended as a supplement to the instructional sound film "Digestion of Foods" (listed below). This picture deals in detail motility phenomena of the gastro-intestinal tract. Actual photography reveals different types of movement in the stomach, such as hypermotility, inhibition, antiperistalsis, hunger contractions and normal movements. Segmentation and peristalsis of the intestines are portrayed. Motility of intestinal villi is clearly shown in microcinematography. Collin motility in the dog and cat is observed in the processes of antiperistalsis.
