A Happening In Hippieland

Year Published: 1968

Creator: Liberty Mutual Auto Insurance

Description: Edited namesake segment of the once entirely lost & forgotten 1968 short film "A Happening in Hippieland", documentary of producing a commercial for Liberty Mutual Auto Insurance. Couldn't ever turn up anything on this film in my research. Did some additional corrections on this short upload, as I've gotten more experienced since the first upload.

It wasn't long before a real life hippie came hiking [music] down the road. It seems Mount Tamopas is a veritable hippie haven. They sleep out [music] in the fields and live on what they can get. The aroma of fresh coffee and pastry was too good to pass up. [music] It ain't LSD, but at least it's free. That prune Danish really turns them on. [music] And soon more flower children began to bloom on the hillside. [music] Their self-proclaimed leader was a 24year-old known to his friends as Granny Goose. [music] He said his philosophy was life is a circle. Bad is good and good is bad. He didn't even have shoes, much less a car. Obviously [music] not a prospect for Liberty Mutual
