1960s California & Southwest Road Trip - Hollywood, San Fran, Pat Boone! | 16mm Film Scan

Description: Silent (soundtrack added) 16mm Kodachrome II home movie dating to summer 1965, of a roadtrip through the Southwestern United States and California. Starts off in Arizona with shots of the Grand Canyon, moving onto Nevada with the Hoover Dam. Then, with their stay at the Sands Hotel in Vegas they run into Pat Boone and Nelson Sardelli - they goof around, Boone even stands on Sardelli's shoulders! Photos can be found of Boone wearing the same round locket-style necklace. After, they move onto Hollywood, with a day trip down to Tijuana Mexico. The groups back in California, stops by and tours an unknown CBS filming production at an apartment/motel poolside. Finishing off in Hollywood with a nice shot of the famous Chinese theater. We arrive in San Francisco with a scene of the classic Chinatown, before moving on to shots of the famous sweeping hills and cable car trolleys. San Fran is finished up with a tour around the bay via boat passing by alcatraz, and nice shots of the Bay Bridge. Film begins to wind up with a visit to an (unknown) mountain and ride on the ski lift gondola, before a nighttime visit to Reno full of the famous Vegas style neon signs. On the way back east, they stop by the bonneville salt flats and the famous billboard. Good portion of this film was underexposed, corrected it best I could per-scene within reason.
