His parents want him to become 'somebody'. They are pressuring him to quickly find an apprenticeship after graduating from secondary school. His instructor and teachers at vocational school also demand high performance from him. But Christian has no desire to commit himself so early on. He would rather remain free and see the world. He drops out of an apprenticeship as a photo salesman.
