This is the story of the camp for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from Brazil, Canada and the United States, held in conjunction with the Conference of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts at Cooperstown, New York, USA. The camp provided aides for Conference delegates, and brought together girls from three nations in an effort to further world friendship and understanding. The film 'World Friendship', produced and distributed by the Girl Scouts of the United States of America in 1948, was translated into 19 different languages ( even into Greek :) by the United States Department of State. The State Department plans to distribute 238 prints to Latin America, Europe, Africa, Canada, the Near East, and the Far East as part of its world-wide program of interpreting life in America and the basic principles of democracy.
