Die schmerzliche Trennung von den Eltern, das Alltagsleben im Dorf und schließlich die ersten Eindrücke in Deutschland werden aus der Perspektive Halils nachvollzogen. The short feature film shows the journey of the Turkish boy Halil and his family from their small Turkish village of Kömürköy to the Federal Republic of Germany. The painful separation from his parents, everyday life in the village and finally his first impressions of Germany are all portrayed from Halil's perspective.
