Two friends meet again after ten years. Georg has focused his life entirely on his family, professional success and material prosperity. Christoph, on the other hand, lives an unattached life as a freelance writer exactly according to the ideas that Georg had formulated in his graduation speech. Georg feels provoked and his 'quiet happiness' is called into question.
