Benjamin ist das Küken in einer Jugendgruppe und ein ausgemachter Milchfeind. In der Jugendherberge schiebt er deshalb prompt die ihm zugewiesene Milch zurück. Auf dem Weg in die Stadt werden drei Buben der Gruppe ausgerechnet von einem Lastwagen der Milchversorgung MVM mitgenommen und landen auf dem Hof der Nordmolkerei Deller in Freising. Der Geschäftsführer der Molkerei fordert die Jungen auf, ein neues Milchmischgetränk zu probieren, gewissermaßen als Test zur Erforschung des Verbrauchergeschmacks. Aber das ohne Benjamin! Dann geht es 'immer der Milch nach' durch den großen Betrieb: von der Anlieferung über die Pasteurisierung und die großen Lagertanks bis zur Flaschen-Abfüllmaschine. Davon ist Benjamin, der mit von der Partie ist, beeindruckt. Richtig warm wird er aber erst, als der sachkundige Führer den Buben zeigt, 'was so alles in einer Milchflasche drinsteckt': Die Milch wird unter das Mikroskop gebracht, ihr Fettgehalt bestimmt und die Zusammensetzung der in ihr enthaltenen Nährstoffe festgestellt. Das leuchtet nun auch Benjamin ein; und so trinkt er denn in der nächsten Jugendherberge Milch. Die Gruppe ruft vergnügt: 'Seht doch nur den Benjamin!' Dieser entgegnet: 'Mir schmeckt'sl', und die Gruppe kontert: 'Uns schon lange!' Benjamin is the youngest member of a youth group and is a real enemy of milk. At the youth hostel, he promptly pushes back the milk assigned to him. On the way into town, three boys from the group are picked up by a truck from the milk supplier MVM and end up on the farm of the Nordmolkerei Deller dairy in Freising. The dairy's managing director asks the boys to try a new mixed milk drink, as a kind of test to research consumer taste. But without Benjamin! Then it's 'always after the milk' through the large plant: from delivery to pasteurization and the large storage tanks to the bottling machine. Benjamin, who is also part of the party, is impressed. But he only really warms up when the knowledgeable guide shows the boys 'what's inside a milk bottle': the milk is put under the microscope, its fat content is determined and the composition of the nutrients it contains is ascertained. This also makes sense to Benjamin, and so he drinks milk in the next youth hostel. The group shouts happily: 'Look at Benjamin!
